If you have been dying to play a new HD Call of Duty game on a Nintendo system, your dream has finally come true! Black Ops II is officially coming to the Wii U.

Black Ops II will feature second-screen gameplay, where player two will be using the GamePad screen to see the action over the traditional split-screen of TVs. GamePad users can also use the touchscreen to call in score streaks, and choose loadouts.

More importantly, Black Ops II will feature a number of controller setups, so you can use the Wii Remote, Classic Controller Pro, GamePad, or Wii U Pro Controller to play.

All features of Black Ops II will be present as well, including the eSports and CODcasting features for League play.

You can expect Call of Duty: Black Ops II to be out for the Wii U on November 13, just before the Wii U's launch in the US.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Not a COD fan but it definitely bodes well for the machine if activision is willing to put a real COD game on it and if Black Ops 1 is any indication then the console will get actual M rated content on it
I'll actually be looking forward to the reviews of this. I'll still get this for the ps3 but this will be a nice test to see if Nintendo's online infrastructure can hold its own.
yeah, they NEED the Cod franchise for their online to hold any weight.
At least they're trying.
opps
The "splitscreen" thing is a pretty awesome. Just goes to show that devs are taking the controller seriously.
If this has Wii Remote+Nunchuk controls and a control scheme like Metroi Prime 3, it will automatically be the best version of the game.
The game is releasing before the console? o_O
I can play CoD on Nintendo consoles. The Wii and DS.
Ok, this was unexpected...
COD never left Nintendo, and never had plans to. The only COD that never hit owas MW 2. BOPS and MW3 made it over as well as WaW. Treyarch ported most of these titles with custom builds. Activision has always known how to support Nintendo's platforms profitably. It's only EA who seems to be on the "I don't know what to do" list at this point. And frankly, those of us playing COD on the Wii have been very happy with everything Treyarch and Activision have done, even if u have felt that it has not been the feature rich experience found on other platforms. Don't pity us or tell us what we are missing--we prefer our Mario Kart with a side-dish of COD, not the other way around.
How can it be release november 13th if the wiiu comes out november 30th?
Wii U is the 18th, not 30th. It's a few days early for sure, but I don't think this is completely unheard.

For what it's worth, Black Ops II is the only CoD game that's really seemed different to me from the other titles, and the fact that it supports the Wiimote sounds good to me. I may get this one. :)
also it supposedly will be in native 1080p and 60fps on Wii U. with pointer controls and exclusive modes/content it's pretty much the definitive version.
with hardware, it will have the best version on all consoles.
Why are people surprised at the release date? It happened with a bunch of Wii games, too, like Red Steel.
So hang on, does it have normal split-screen mode as well if you have 2 normal controllers?
I don't want this personally, but I know this will be a huge seller for them.
You have 4 controllers to play cod now...

-WiiU's Gamepad
-Wii-Mote Chuck
-WiiU's Pro controller
-Wii Classic Controller Pro

Choose Your weapon
wow, I may get this for WiiU then.
@janoDX

More people need to think like you. Seriously.
that's actually pretty cool you can use the wii remote to control the game. when done right (metroid prime 3), IR pointer controls are my favorite way to play FPS games.

too bad this didn't translate to ps3 move support.
Can't wait! No second chance! I love these games, mostly the guns. I just got a M4 like in the game http://www.airsplat.com/airsoft-video-games.htm and they have a bunch of other guns from different games.
@copyofcopy You mean like every CoD game for the Wii?
The splt screen system kinda screwed sony over since they had that 3d tv that displayed two diffrent perspectives through their magic glasses.
