    ADD QUOTES
    • Kelly: I feel it's my obligation to not always look perfect! Even on Idol, I never wore make-up unless I was on stage.

    • Kelly Clarkson: (revealing her thoughts on motherhood) Oh, my God, I have no desire to be a parent at the moment. I would not be a good mother. I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew. And I used to want to adopt about 10 kids - because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But my job is just too selfish.

    • Kelly Clarkson: If I wasn't a singer, I'd be broke, because I have no other talent.

    • Kelly Clarkson: I feel very fortunate coming from American Idol. I was the biggest girl in the group. I've always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People like me this way.

    • Kelly: I want to be the soccer mom. I want to do the whole thing....I want, like, ten kids. Just not anytime soon. I'm not ready!

    • Kelly: I am a very happy person. I want to get that message out there. But for some reason, I write the most depressing songs!

    • Kelly: I never do parties. I never do the celebrity party thing.

    • Kelly: (on reports of a feud between herself and her record label over her album "My December") I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family. Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it's respect and admiration that will keep us together.

    • Kelly: People think that a relationship can be perfect, but it's not true. You're going to have bad days and ups and downs.

    • Kelly: Probably my favorite track on the whole album, just because it's the sexiest song I've ever written in my life, is "Addicted." I love it. Everyone's been there — I wrote this song about someone that you loved but it was almost a little bit like an obsession. You were just like, "I don't really love them," but you were just obsessed with them 'cause you had nothing else to do. Everybody does that at one point in your life. It's totally about that. It's like their drug, it's like you can't get away from them.

    • Kelly: I'm a hygiene freak. I am obsessively-compulsive when it comes to washing my hands.

    • Kelly: You need to establish yourself before you let someone else in. I am still finding myself.

    • Kelly: The message that goes through the whole album is actually a title of one of the songs called "Hear Me." I think everybody goes through that, and it's not just because I'm in the industry. Everybody goes through that at a point in their life, especially when you're young and you just wanna be heard. You want everybody to just be quiet around you and just listen just for once. And that's kind of the album. Would somebody please stop and listen instead of just passing by and having me smile all the time. Obviously there's a lot of different kind of feelings and variety on the album as well, but that's probably the major thing that I just had to get out with the lyrics.

    • Kelly: It is so much fun to perform. Like I've had so much fun on this past tour, but we still like if you come and see us on tour. There's a whole blues section and there's some urban stuff in there as well. So it's kind of all over the place.

    • Kelly: Photo shoots are the least favorite part of my job. Photographers ask me if I want to look at pictures of myself and I'm like, 'Dude, why would I want to look at these photos? I'm not that vain.

    • Kelly: (On what she likes most about her own shows) The Bridge of 'Addicted.' It sounds like a scary part of a horror movie, when you know something bad is going to happen. The first part of it is real intense and then I just full-on belt it out. I live for that!

    • Kelly: I have 40 songs for my next record. I don't stop writing. There is one called 'Yeah.' It's very tour friendly and has an easy hook.

    • Kelly: I totally do not believe in back up plans. Like if you want something that bad, go for it.. I knew that performing was what I wanted to do. So I went for it, without a back up plan!

    • Kelly: I can wake up everyday before I die and know that I don't have to serve anyone food or drinks, I will be happy!

    • Kelly: If you're going to pressure me to do something, I'm going to do the opposite. So if you tell me to get skinny, I'm probably going to get fat just to piss you off.

    • Kelly: Like every other girl in the world, my most embarrassing moment had to with a guy completely turning me down. His loss!

    • Kelly: Everyone says I'm like the girl next door... y'all must have really weird neighbors!

    • Kelly: Hearing the Evanescence album you can obviously tell that David and Ben have a real passion for that big kind of background and I have a big voice and I like the music to match it, so it was a real dream team, ... They're both so different from each other and so different from me, but I think the three of us getting together just created such great songs.

    • Kelly: I love that I came up this way. First of all, I have nine close friends, and it's hard to find people you can trust and lean on in this industry.

    • Kelly: I never said I was a 'good girl.' I'm not a bad girl. I'm just normal, and that's what I'm going to be. There's no bad girl with whips and chains that's going to come out. I think people like me because I am myself.

    • Kelly: you have to be guarded in this industry because you are well known and you have a lot of money so that is like a big red target

    • Kelly: apparently I don't believe in hangers so I just throw everything down

    • Kelly: Im a Wal-mart girl. You can buy everything there--CDs food..

    • Kelly: I'm going on vacation...for four days! (holds up six fingers)

    • Kelly: I'm still going to eat burgers and fries, you can kiss my butt!

    • Kelly: What? I cant have carbs now? Bread is good people. Jesus ate bread! How do you think I got these chubby cheeks and big butt!?

    • Kelly: I want to give you a special thanks for even coming to this show because last time I was here I fell on stage so thank you for even coming even though I am a cluz

    • Kelly: If the person next to you isn't up on their feet, smack 'em. Actually, don't hit them... I don't promote violence, I promise!

    • Kelly: Looks fade, but a charm and personality doesn't.

    • Kelly: If I can wake up everyday before I die and know that I don't have to serve anyone food or drinks, I will be happy!

    • Kelly: God will never give you anything you can't handle, so don't stress.

    • Kelly Clarkson: Before Idol, I had so many doors slammed in my face.

    • Kelly Clarkson: I don't wanna be as big as Madonna. I like where I am now.

    • Kelly Clarkson: (about not wearing underwear) I'm Commando Girl... I swear all my friends in Texas don't wear them either!

    • Kelly clarkson: One day I would like to work behind the cameras too producing my own work.

    • Kelly Clarkson: (about her teacher's advice at joining the Choir after hearing her singing at the corridor) Nobody really realized I had a talent until I got in there. My teacher really pushed me since I was behind everyone else who had been doing it since 4th grade. From there on, I had a niche.

    • Kelly Clarkson: I have no beef with anyone. I'm not that kind of girl to worry or get involved with stuff like that.

    • Kelly Clarkson: The record (Breakaway) is doing so well, it scares me sometimes.

    • Kelly Clarkson: Everyone's family has their own drama and Because Of You is about breaking that cycle and not carrying it on to the next generation. Kids are like sponges, and they imitate what they see. Sometimes that's not fair because what we see is not good for us.

    • Kelly Clarkson: (about touring) Being on the road is so inspiring. I think that's where the best inspiration comes from, for creativity.

    • Kelly Clarkson: (On her singing career) I'm doing what I love, and that's what's important.

    • Kelly Clarkson: Like every other girl in the world, my most embarrassing moment had to do with a guy completely turning me down. His loss!

    • Kelly Clarkson: It all seems to be happening so quickly that it's hard to stop and think. For now, I'm just glad to be in this position and to be able to have a job where I use my singing voice every day.

    • Kelly Clarkson: I'm not materialistic, but I am ambitious. I'd love to break globally and can't wait to go to England. There is so much ahead of me and I'm really grateful for that.

    • Kelly Clarkson: Everyone says I'm like the girl next door...Y'all must have really weird neighbors!

    • Kelly Clarkson: Some of the stuff on the new album is very singer/songwriter, because I love people like Patty Griffin and Ryan Adams. And then there is other stuff that's real intense rock stuff, more rock than Breakaway. It's going to be a cool album.

    • Kelly Clarkson: I totally do not believe in back up plans. Like if you want something that bad, go for it.. I knew that performing was what I wanted to do. So I went for it, without a back up plan!

    • Kelly Clarkson: I'd love to pose for a picture angry and it'd be like 'Kelly was upset because she didn't get her frosted flakes!'

I love her music, she has the best voice ever and she is super pretty. I hope to see her on a TV show too, I bet that she has good acting like she does singing. I have her album and love every song on there, she has the most amazing voice, and that's all I can say. Plus, I love the name! :D

I placed the E for Entertainer, btw. Why?! Because, she really is the American to idolize, her voice is so bold and full of emotions from song to song as well as her performances... she really knows how to wow her audience. I immediately took a liking to her music as soon as she came onto American Idol... I knew she wouldn't be turned away. Despite what the media may say about her weight, I think she is truly a beautiful entertainer inside and out. I'd honestly like to see more of her performances make nationwide TV, music is not what it used to be.moreless
