Going Through

I'm sorry for being hidden in the last couple of weeks, it's simply that I'm going through not-so-good time. All is fine about my health and such, but the general feeling, plus tons of work, and limited hours on the computer, reduced me only to being able to read your comments and stalk from here to there. Most of the time TV.com didn't even let me comment.

Things are somewhat "getting better", but I still won't be here much.

Monster, Jo, BB, Helen, I'm happy you are all caring for me. Here I am. Don't be worried

What About Love? [Music Special Blog]

This time only YouTube videos, for the sake of music, and for the enjoyment of me, of Monster and of all of us

1. Take That | Shine

Straight from the deepest of the 90s, Take That returned this year with a new album, a fresh songs and an old sty'le. This sty'le, though, still works perfectly on our ears. This clip also has a nice aspect of the song. So come on, don't be late, oh, and don't forget to see the light on your face, let it shine! SHINE!

2. Rent | Seasons of Love

I haven't seen the movie (though I wanted to), but this song, the official soundtrack of Rent, just caught my ear and never let go. This clip is featured from the movie and is so sweet. 525,600 minutes, how do you measure, a year in the life? How about LOVE? How about LOOOOVE?

3. Ifty | The Night Will Pass

Ifty does both rapping and singing, and in this debut single he has done a wonderful job. At first I didn't like this song, but after second hearing it just came to my heart... So why crying, we can always try, wipe away the tears, I'm here...

Here ends the 2nd Music Special Blog of Afenla, See Y'all Later!

Much Love and *hugs*,

It Snowed, It Snowed, It Snowed!

The storm is finally over, but it was so dam good, I have to share some of it with y'all. But let's start with some pics from our lovely lil snowed country...

Gush Etzion, a mountain near Jerusalen

It all started on Tuesday morning. Though the forecast said it's gonna start only in the night, weather wanted otherwise. It was raining for most of the day, and I was lucky to take a small umbrella in my bag.
Wednesday was a totally different story. It wasn't raining here for most of the day, but the winds were tough. Evening brought rain, and with it, hail. The night between Wednesday and Thursday was crazy. I got up at least 4 times during the night, just from the noise the rain, the hail and the winds did. It was feaking CRAZY!
Then it started snowing in the north, the Hermon mountain, Ramat Hagolan and even souther.
Thursday morning brought the snow to Jerusalem, but a snow mixed with rain that couldn't get a hold on the ground...

Mixed snow and rain in Jerusalem

But where I live, a city closer to the center of the country, and pretty lower than the mountains, it was raining and hailing all day. When there were thunders mixed with it, it seemed like General Winter was pretty angry this time

Ramat Hagolan, Israel's northest and highest places

It kept like that on and off for the whole day and on Friday. Of course, most of the time it wasn't hiliang, but still, it was fun. Kids didn't go to scholl where it was snowed (in Jerusalem they did, though)
Saturday (today) brought the sign of the calming. Here wasn't raining at all, but it was still storming in some places.
Dam, I like this weather!

Summary: Snow where it is needed, hail and thunders storms, and a lot of rain Yay!

This image has nothing to do with snow, and/or rain, and/or hail, and/or TV.com, and/or any idealist idea of conquering the world. It's just here to sign the moving on for a different story.

On a different story, I reached level 37!

It seems like I've been 36 forever (and a day, to be exact).

I also have a new avatar, since yesterday I encountered this beautiful Anastacia pic, and I couldn't stand it

A Ha - Crying In The Rain

Not so exact, since I'm so happy when it's raining, but still suits perfect the rain and the thunders. Here's a lil piece of nostalgic hostory, with A-Ha and their black-n-white clip. Enjoy

A-Ha, they didn't invent anything, and/or something, and/or someone, and/or anyone, but they're good

It's not gonna rain for the rest of the week

Much Love and *hugs*,

Oh Creepy Cloud, Oh Scary Thunder

Hi there nice people!

I'm not related to this pic in any way,
and/or any method, and/or any logical explanation

Seems like General Winter is back into business around here... It was hazy yesterday and on Sunday (I hate haze), and today it started raining (when they said it'll start raining only tonight). Anyhoo, they expect it to rain for then next 4 days, and it might even snow in Jerusalem tomorrow night!
I will keep you posted!

This arrow doesn't point left, and/or up, and/or down, and/or east, and/or to the direction of Bin Laden's hiding place. It only points right...

It's tough to get back to normal after Drea's sudden death on Friday... I still read related blogs here and there, and the site's blog still has her memorial, and it's hard to move on. I mean, you know time heals and all that stuff, but you're just afraid to move on there... It's not like it used to be from now on.

The And/Or theory is making a comeback in this blog and will be active for long now

Meatloaf & Marion Raven | It's All Coming Back To Me Now

Pretty sad song by this two excellent singers, but a fairly wonderful version. Meatloaf is a great clasic-rock singer and Marion has a great voice.
Suits the half-half moods in my blog...

Much Love and *hugs*,

I Still Remember

I still remember the first blog of Drea that I've read. She was all excited about a problem with her Internet, and how disappointed she was for not being able to get on to this site. It took a while to get to know her, but the first thing you learn about her is the way she liked to write: Slang.
Or, in Drea's words, Slangzta.

Drea was the creator or the Gangzta language on here. She wasn't just the any woman you get to know. She was a family woman, full of love for her husband (hubby), her kids, and her friends. Even Ang can be considered half-family for her, after understanding the way they met.

I made her a banner. Not once, twice. She liked the way I designed stuff. It was Tight, as she used to say.

I loved to read her comments in my blogs. She used to refer to me as Gangzta Brutha, and I replied with Gangzta Sista. Every comment of Drea, especially in her peak months, was not just a comment, it was a complete celebration. She was the director of her own comments. And I was jealous of her writings...

I once had a column where I used to "forecast" how others will comment to the blog. That's what I wrote for Drea, of course, in her own true language:

hoffman9102: HOLA lil Gangzta! I hada slizza wonderz bout wat YA were up to, Mi AMIGO! Here Ima rollin', takin da COMMENT to a betta level o WIZdom, befo anyone coulda ask! Lay Chilly, coz itz all GOOOOOOD and tight!

If that doesn't sum up her personality, I can not realize what can. She was pure joy, happiness and warm-hearted.

I haven't been talking to her much recently, but I was indeed affected by this woman. Positively. And for all that, I wanna thank ya, Gangzta-Sista, and tho ya willn't be reedin' thiz blog, I wanna make it fo-sho clear that itz all dedicated to ya, aight? Coz ya hada dat lite, like no one else. Lay Chill,

Goodbye

KT Tunstall
Avg Score: 8.33    Total Ratings: 13    Total Reviews: 2
Wholeness was never as whole as defined by KT Tunstall's debut album. One by one, the songs deserve the best compliments there are. "Other Side of the World", by any term, is a hit. A super-hit. It melody, lyrics, singing and the tone, all combined together, gives you the perfect feeling. You just never want to stop playing that song.

The rest of the album is also as satisfying as this song. "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree", "Suddenly I See", and "Another Place to Fall", are all successfull and excellent songs. KT, or Katie, has a sweet voice, and her plaing is gorgeous. She's not accidently nicknames "One-Woman Band"...

Molly Sims
Avg Score: 9.03    Total Ratings: 107    Total Reviews: 1
Molly was a more or less famous model since the end of the 90s. But I, personally, came to know her only since she started starring on Las Vegas, as Delinda Deline, the daughter of Ed, the Casino manager. She gets in love with Danny, the one in charge of security, works for a restaurant in the Casino, runs the restaurant, and many many more adventures, making her role unforgetable, and very undoubtable.

Molly has also achieved many awards as a model. But what's loveable at her, is that she's not just another model turning to acting and losing everything. She's a great model, and a gorgeous actress. She deserves the rank she has now, and I'm sure we haven't see anything yet.

The Telling
Avg Score: 9.77    Total Ratings: 245    Total Reviews: 19
Now this is an episode where you might get a little frustrated, but you will face the truth: Better plot twist can't be found. The writers overcame themselves. So many unanswered questions, and yet you are more than satisfied.
This is the endgame. Irina is on something big, manipulating both CIA and Sloane. Sloane has now all the 47 artifacts of Rambaldi, and he can assemble the greatest invention. He also has Jack, which was captured along with the Di Regno heart, the 47th artifact.
Irina wants the CIA to get those artifacts, but Sloane knows it.
Will is cleared from being a double, but then, who is the double? He managed to find the Provacilium in the bathroom, and now he knows: Francie is the double. Or should we call her, Allison Doren.
Sloane managed to escape with all the artifacts again. Irina's gone. Sark is captured. Sydney apparently killed Allison, but then collapses as well.
We wake up in Tokyo. Two years have passed. Sydney doesn't have a clue why she's there or what happened. Vaughn is married. Sydney was missing for 2 years - presumed dead.
This is the best end for a season. We are sure that most of these problems will be solved in the next season. This Is the biggest scenario that we wanted to have. We also got our action when Sydney and Fracie fought. Our nerves are burnt down. We will wait. Yes we will…

Alias
Phase One
Avg Score: 9.76    Total Ratings: 282    Total Reviews: 25
Ever since the first episode, where Sydney learned that truth from her father, and joined the CIA in order to be a double agent, all I wanted to can be summed into two:
1. SD6's fall
2. Sydney and Vaughn together.
Well, what can be better than one episode, in which, these two things happen? This is a fine example for an incredible series, on how to make an excellent TV. Rule number one: Make an episode like this - Satisfy your viewers.
Jack is now at the hands of SD6. When Sloane left, he found out that Jack and Sydney are doubles. The new head, Geiger, is decisive to get rid of them both. He managed to catch Jack, and he will torture him until he reveals where Sydney is, and who are they working for.
Moreover, Sark, as part of the plan with Sloane, revealed to Sydney that there's a server, Server 47, where the Alliance keeps all the data. Sydney managed to get this valuable data, and by that, to bring the fall of SD6 and the whole Alliance. The CIA raided all Alliance facilities. Jack was saved, he and Sydney are free. Finally.
Meanwhile, it is discovered that Vaughn broke with Alice, his girl. Throughout the whole episode, the tension between Sydney and Vaughn was clearer than the sun. In the end, in the middle of the destroyed SD6 facility, they are finally together.
A great end for a story is just the beginning. Sloane did it all on purpose, and there's another surprise for Sydney, right inside her own home. She might want to hand her resignation, but the way is yet too long for that.
This is the episode where I can say safely, I love to watch Alias.

American Idol
Avg Score: 7.67    Total Ratings: 6388    Total Reviews: 853
American Idol is the original. No other Reality-TV show ever, was that contagious. Even though Television is a kind of tired of Survivor and other Reality Shows, and more and more return to the classic Drama or Comic shows, millions still can't be wrong: Idol is one of the successes of the Reality period, which will remain here a lot after all the other Reality shows will fade out.
The most memorable moment of season 4 was no doubt when Simon Cowell compared one of the female-singers to Ryan Seacrest - beautiful, nice but can't do her job correctly. Ryan, who stood near the judges, took Paula's glass of water and threw the water on Simon. It was a moment when you can't no to burst out laughing. Top reality moment.
Carrie Underwood indeed deserved to be voted. Her vocal abilities and character make her the perfect new-country-singer. No doubt.
As for Paula and Randy, they are truly the sweetest judges in the history of Reality. Paula can't say a bad word on a competitor she likes, or dislikes, or don't have an opinion on. She simply loves everyone. Randy educated all the boys to bark as cheering dogs. He brings his personality to the show.
Other shows made in this excellent show's shape are pale fakes. The excitement, the professionalism and the fun in making a show are hardly able to be copied. This one is the true master of "Star is born".
People easily fall in love with this show. Give it a try. You'll fall in love too (in case you haven't fell for it yet).

I'm the Afenla. I consider myself as an usual blogger, who blogs and blops from time to time. I'm 20, male, Israeli and a fan of music and TV (another usual characteristic). Most of my friends here say they enjoy reading my blogs, I believe them. I don't know why, yet, they say so. :P Mostly these days I enjoy watching Stargate, since I don't have much time to watch TV and this is the most important series for me. Several of my all-time favorites are Alias, Back Books, That's So Raven and Good Morning Miami. Oh, and btw, I'm a guy, just wanted to make it clear again. So, See you on TV.com!
