Breakfast Topic: Are you ever jealous of the opposite faction?
But every now and then, I'm jealous of the Horde. Why? Well, I love the Horde races, for one. The Alliance ones, while undoubtedly far prettier in most cases, are a bit bland. OK, you can be a werewolf, but other than that, the Alliance races are just humans in various shapes and sizes. I'm talking visually here, of course -- I'm aware of the lore! But Horde players can be undead zombies! Or orcs! Or cattle! And man, I love goblins. They're so funny-looking, and their shaman totems look amazing.
Also, Horde lore (from my very limited knowledge of it) seems to have a bit more interest than Alliance lore. The characters seem a bit more compelling and the stories a bit more memorable. I should reiterate, though, that my lore knowledge is really limited to what you can find out in-game. That being said, the reworked undead starting zone and its Sylvanas-related story was the best I've encountered so far.
On the other hand, Alliance players have some great things going for them. For PvP, the human racial is awesome -- essentially, another trinket slot. Gnomes are adorable, and there's something to be said for pretty as opposed to just cool-looking. And perhaps Jaina makes up for Sylvanas.
What do you think? Are you ever jealous of the opposite faction for something? Or do you think your own faction is the best? Is it simply a case of the grass being greener? If you faction-changed, what would you miss?
