“As others have mentioned, it's hard to make a comparison. Adele has established her career as a singer (and a damn good one at that), but Gwyneth is an actress who does some singing on the side. Taking that into consideration, I'm actually quite impressed with her cover and I think she does a fine job. I respect her drive to get out there and make herself so vulnerable. Way to go!”
“This makes me feel sick. When I was 8 (and I'm a girl), I was covered in dirt playing out in the woods with my friends, not getting freakin' beauty treatments. I absolutely HATE what is happening to kids these days. Now you go from being a baby to a teen; there is no gap anymore for being a kid. There are stores out there now for little girl lingerie. WTF?! At least give kids a few years before they are corrupted by society and the stresses to be "beautiful." Shame on this mother and to all mothers out there who support this child abuse.”

“Y'know, good on Kirstie. I've always liked her and really felt for her when she began her struggle with weight. It's not just Hollywood that is grossly critical of a woman's weight, but it's society in general. I happened to watch Kirstie last night, and man, she ROCKED it. It was clear she had confidence through the roof because the way she moved her body, she was moving more sexily than most women can. I admire her even more for doing this and for showing us that she's got confidence in herself. You can be 115 lbs and be self conscious, or you can be 180+ lbs and rock it. Way to go, Kirstie. Keep it up.”
“Hi, jodylynne, this is nancy lynne. agree, she was always cool. and if you are cool. you always can be. proportioned too, and Judges said.. the amount of steps and 'features were more than anyone's. so.. her & Ralph.. Heart Felt:)”
“It's about freakin' time!!!!! Too many animals have fallen victim to these accidents due to the fact that no one was trained properly to save them. Pets are just as much a part of the family as anyone else and deserve to be helped, too. I hope that other fire departments around the world join in and participate in this special training. Good on ya, Oregon!”
“I agree as well. The large Safari zoos (to me) are fine, like the animal sanctuaries that have thousands of acres where the animals roam free but they're still cared for to an extent. A 6x9 glass-enclosed case, though... so sad :(”
“He probably died from loneliness and depression. How exciting can your life be when you live in an enclosed pen thousands of miles from where you *should* be living with the rest of your kind? He had hundreds of people stare at him and yell at him every day; that's emotionally taxing. A bear shouldn't die at 4 years old. My heart breaks for any animal in captivity and I personally think zoos are awful.”
“I agree - zoos, circus, rodeo - all on my personal "banned' list.
Having said that some are ok. The largest safari type zoos, circus like the Solel one with the horses only as horses like to work and please, but the teatment of elephants and cats I just can't tolerate, maybe some rodeos that do not include horse tripping or bucking wild horse riding - that are just skill exhibitions like roping cattle and horse skill riding like barrels, etc..”

“Speaking as a 23 year old, I think it's so sad that music of today is popularized by the likes of Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, etc. I can't even remember the last time I watched MTV...maybe when I was 12? I don't even know half of the singers and bands out there these days. It makes the real artists--the talented musicians--like Phil Collins feel like the music world is slipping away. The respected artists such as himself are getting kicked to the curb and thought of as "old music." Esperanza Spalding...a FABULOUS musician winning the Grammy for Best New Artist, and teens are upset because Justin Bieber, with his 4 note and 1 key songs, didn't win. The majority of music society just doesn't recognize good music anymore.
/end rant
We still love you, Phil!!”
“There are so many comments about how the mothers were victimized, and it's so sad how they were roped into this guy's scheme.... yeah, it is sad, but the KIDS are the only freakin' victims here!! Children view their mothers as sole protector, and the trust that we have in our moms as kids (and adults as well) is beyond any level of trust. Who knows everything in the world? Mom. Who can fix any problem? Mom. These kids relied on their moms to know what is best. So what happens when their protector and the person they trusted the most in the world turns on them?! It's just disgusting. These "mothers" hold just as much blame in this situation as Demink.”
“Cold Canadian places? Vancouver is the second warmest city in Canada (with Victoria being the mildest). We get hot summers, with temperatures surpassing 30 degrees (into the 90s in fahrenheit). We're definitely not a cold place. Average summer temperature in Toronto is in the 80s, too. Canada isn't a stereotypical igloo-building, plaid-wearing, scarf and hat-wearing place all year round.”
“I've been a resident of Vancouver for my whole life, and absolutely love it. I'm proud to see that it's been in the top spot since 2007! I've travelled to many different countries, but I'm always excited to come home.”
