Set in a sprawling open world, Dragon’s Dogma marks the birth of Capcom’s newest franchise and sets players off on a quest to find and slay a mysterious dragon.
After the beast rips out the heart of the game’s hero, it’s up to players to take up one of several available roles including a sword-swinging Mythic Knight, an lethal Assassin and a meteor shower summoning Sorcerer and set out on a quest to hunt the dragon down.
Since there is always safety in numbers – especially where dragons are concerned – gamers be accompanied by two Pawns. These AI aids develop independently and learn throughout the game as a result of players’ decisions.
Choices and customisation of the game’s hero will also have a noticeable impact on fighting battles throughout the world. Factors that change include the weight of weaponry and armour as well as the height of the hero, all of which affect how well he fights.
Players who want to take the fight online can join the Rift through Xbox Live and PSN. The Rift functions as an area where gamers can lend their Pawns to friends and borrow other Pawns that hold skills key to completing certain quests.
