My client is the central support organisation for over 100 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Australasia.

The Central Marketing Department is responsible for assisting and directing each sales territory in their commercial activities. The marketing team is a young, hardworking but out-going team, dedicated to the success of the business in each territory. The environment is busy, youth-oriented, international, dynamic, fun and conscientious.

Due to recent expansion, they're looking to recruit a Junior Events Manager.

The position will involve the following:

• Planning and execution of centrally run events for both media and consumers, including E3 and Gamescom.

• Support territories to enhance their local events.

• Planning and execution of internal events including company briefings and software socials etc.

• Creating and distributing event toolkits and assets.

• This position requires frequent travel within territories – applicant must be willing and able to travel on a regular basis.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The overall duty of this role is to enhance awareness for hardware, peripherals and published titles by creating compelling events and experiences, whilst ensuring that all territories are producing events and experiences of the same standard.

To do this it will be necessary to work closely with: various, European Product Managers (based in the same office), Territory PR & Event Managers (based in different countries) and the Developers (content creators) to ensure cultural fit and to maximise implementation opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Educated to ‘A’ Level / degree standard – able to think through problems to find appropriate solutions and challenge established work practices for the betterment of departmental performance.

-Suit applicants with a minimum of 2 years Events experience.

-Advanced organisation skills and close attention to detail in order to prioritise and organise a very varied work schedule.

-Self starter – highly motivated individual to keep pace in this busy office.

-Commercial outlook - pragmatic and reliable.
