Dhaka, Apr 1 (bdnews24.com) – Daily Sun editor Syed Anwar Husain resigned from the English daily on Sunday.
He called it quits for personal reasons, Husain told bdnews24.com.
Anwar Husain tendered the resignation letter on Sunday and it was accepted immediately, he said.
"I am very old now. I could not take such pressure on my body and mind," he said.
The daily's publication was launched with Husain, a professor of Dhaka University's history department, as its editor. Before him, Hassan Shahriar was the editor of the daily of Bashundhara's East West Media Group Limited.
Earlier, Abed Khan, editor of Kaler Kantho and Shahjahan Sardar of Bangladesh Pratidin had left the vernacular dailies of the Group
