The HOA Report

In February, 2007, the Corolla Wild Horse Fund and the Foundation for Shackleford Horses sponsored an inspection of the wild horses of Corolla and Shackleford Islands by representatives from the Horse of the Americas, the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, and the American Indian Horse Registry.

During their three days on the islands, the experts studied the similarities and differences of the two groups of horses. They observed, measured, and photogaphed the wild horses, noting in particular the traditional balance and conformation of the Colonial Spanish Horse traits.
