Okay, this piece is definitely one of the reasons I keep the Xenosaga III OST around: The instrumentation rocks out, and is a mix of rock, and orchestral, while you have angelic, Heavenly latin chants, as opposed to the typical guttural, demonic vocals that're typical of heavy metal.

So, I was hoping, does anyone have any recommendations along these lines, of what I might call Chorus Rock, or Chorus Metal?

Ooh, no, I didn't...

Hmm...it's a DVD, but I suppose I could still record the audio off of it somehow...

Actually, it's on Youtube:

Since Kajiura has done a lot more music in this style I recommend checking out:
- the live DVD I just mentioned
- FictionJunction -Yuki Kajiura Live vol.#4 Part1- (also DVD)
- FictionJunction -Yuki Kajiura Live vol.#4 Part2- (also DVD)
- FictionJunction 2008-2010 The BEST of Yuki Kajiura LIVE (2 disc album)

And don't be fooled by the audio quality on Youtube. 'Yuki Kajiura LIVE 2008.07.31' has the concert audio track in LPCM, so no compression at all applied. Of course you can also listen to these vocal tracks on the respective anime/video game soundtrack release. But IMHO the live versions are always superior to the studio recordings.

Anyway, the latin chanting you mention is probably the famous Kajiuran chanting -- it's not really latin but something Kajiura came up with.
