A Brief Background to the Play
|
In 2008, Sheffield Theatre’s Creative Development department embarked on a year long heritage project entitled “Journeys to the City”. The project explored, captured and celebrated the lives and experiences of the people who live in Sheffield and who make the city what it is today by gathering and recording their stories. Local playwright Richard Hurford then selected some of the stories, interpreting and developing them to form a piece of theatre for community and school audiences.
