Vision
In year 2015;
“Tropoja commune, part of Gjakova mountains of the Albanian Alps, shall be a
preferred place to live, work and relax not only for its permanent inhabitants but also
for visitors and tourists from inside the country and the region, with sustainable private
sector and businesses, integrated in the traditional and global markets, based on the
local resources, a modern infrastructure and high quality services.
Objectives
Objective Nr 1
Economic Development based on the local natural resources with priority given to agriculture,
livestock, fruit trees, medicinal plants, processing of local products, underground minerals and family
tourism as part of the project Balkan Peace Park.
Objective Nr 2
Development of an essential infrastructure able to provide conditions for quality work and life
for the local inhabitants and tourists visiting the area.
Objective Nr 3
Improvement of local governance in the Commune by offering quality services, promotion of
local interest groups, participation in the decision making processes and creation of a favourable
environment for the economic development.
Objective Nr 4
Social development of the commune and better infrastructure of health and education services
sports’ and cultural life.
