Milestones

1997 SHPS, Inc. is formed by joint venture between Sykes Enterprises and Health Plan Services.
2000 SHPS is purchased by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, the largest private equity investor in information and business services, healthcare, and communications.
2001 SHPS acquires CareWise, Inc., a leading provider of care management services to complement existing healthcare services offerings.
2003 SHPS acquires eBenX, Inc., a human resource and benefits administrator.
2004 SHPS acquires National Health Services, Inc. and Landacorp, Inc., two leading care management providers.
2006 SHPS introduces its enhanced health management delivery model.
2007 SHPS introduces its award-winning health risk engine to help employers strategically manage the clinical risk in their employee population.
2007 SHPS’ Landacorp division releases its CareRadius product suite, which simplifies complex medical management processes and enables health plans to simplify work flow, improve health outcomes, and lower costs.
2008 SHPS launches its next-generation wellness solution, an internally developed wellness program delivered on the same platform as its other health management solutions.
2008 SHPS launches Carewise® Health, a person-centric suite of integrated services designed to improve individual health and help companies optimize their healthcare spending and benefits delivery.
