AHA reminds hospitals to review their HAC data beginning Sept. 16

The AHA urges hospitals to preview their data on hospital-acquired conditions when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' preview period begins Sept. 16, so they can quickly correct any errors prior to public reporting of the data Sept. 23 on the Hospital Compare website. CMS recently said it intends to release the hospital-specific preview reports in spreadsheet format for confidential review at www.qualitynet.org, and that instructions for downloading the reports are forthcoming.
