Add "modest" to our growing list of perceptions about him, since "great entertainment skills" is an understatement. His self-described "pompous arrogance shtick" espouses the conservative hard-line with brutal efficacy and slices up enemies with a razor-sharp ability to offend that's on par with Lenny Bruce (though the comparison ends there: Rush Limbaugh is much funnier).
In all likelihood, Rush Limbaugh the
radio personality and Rush the man are two separate entities, and there's nothing two-faced or extraordinary about it. If we assumed everyone in show business was precisely how we perceived them, no one would want to spend a moment around Anthony Hopkins for fear of being eaten alive with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

1- Rush Limbaugh likes scented candles
The first thing you didn't know about Rush Limbaugh is that he has a sensitive side. The big, brash-talking chauvinist likes the fresh, soothing aroma of scented candles so much that his domestic staff is directed to light a number of them prior to his arrival home from work each day.
Although his olfactory senses are sharp, his auditory ones are not. A few years ago, the king of talk radio went completely deaf and can only hear today thanks to a cochlear implant. It's the kind of irony his detractors seem to enjoy, just as they did when his addiction to opioid painkillers and subsequent arrest for doctor
shopping gave them ammunition to "out" him as a hypocrite on drug laws.
2- Rush Limbaugh nearly went into the potato chip business
Controversial commentators from both sides of the political spectrum have a common ancestor in Rush Limbaugh, a fact that illustrates his enormous and undeniable influence. However, it almost didn't go down that way at all.
Rush Limbaugh spent the 1970s and the early 1980s as unsuccessful a radio personality as you can imagine. The best he'd done was to land a position working for the Kansas City Royals in the front office, earning a scant $12,000 salary. He was then faced with making a momentous decision: take a job offer paying three times that amount to work in the potato chip distribution business or pass it up and try one more time to find better work on the radio.

I am Australian American. I listen to Rush Limbaugh, because he represents the opposition to left wing propaganda in the media, Hollywood, and on campus. Now even in lower education. Before Rush, news organizations would not be called out on lies and mis-truths. Now they are. Same with Hollywood. They try producing shows that have a hate-America slant. Most of them fall flat on their face. But being an Aussie and American that only listens to Rush in America, I have a question: how is Rush hated by some here so much when he isn't even broadcast?
Limbaugh may be well read, he may say some things that make you think, but all in all he is an opinionated, lying, blowfish of a fool. He practically makes up over half the crap he complains about just to cater to republicans. Whenever I listen to even a segment of his calamity of a show I hear nothing but a paranoid, hatefull, unpatriotic, inhumane psycopath that could rival Hitler or Stalin. Thankfully with all the cigars he sucks on in conjunction with his weight problem, I shant have to listen to his funny sounding ass much longer, rejoice. Im not a liberal but if i saw him on the streets Id take a tire iron to his shiny head. As for the article it was OK

rush is a legend and everything he says is true just take the truth .the truth does hurt sometimes. rush is the only smartest american and u dumb americans should listen to everything he says because he is always right and true.

The majority of Rush haters have never read his books or spent any significant time listening to his radio show. He puts liberals to the front of the caller line and then gives them more time on the air than his dittoheads. He is very bright and astute and extremely well read.
Limbaugh is not perfect. He has make factual mistakes, mistakes of personal judgement on and off the air, and is at times too abrasive and self-congratulatory.
However, he is talented, interesting, and singlehandedly used an outdated and ignored medium (AM radio) to create an alternative to a suffocatingly one-sided liberal media establishment. He often has shrewd insights.
Most of all he is a patriot who wants America to win over its adversaries rather than just run away. He favors the Constitution as written, not as twisted by the ACLU. He speaks for the 50% or so of America that is being denigrated, discriminated against, brushed aside, swamped by unwanted newcomers, and having its values, culture, history, heroes and holidays trashed as we become a socialist Third World area
Rush is nothing but a bloated egotisical druggie. He just spews whatever he wants without any real proof of facts. As for his dildoheads, they are the same poeple u can get to drink the magic koolaid Glupp,glupp,glupp . He is the fat bully in the schoolyard, u know the one in his husky sears toughskin demins, musky, smellly always sweating, beating people up for their lunch money. Until he picks on the wrong person and gets his fat ass beat like a bongo drum. As to the truth, that doesn't matter as long as he can keep spewing his rhetoric and his bull. Why don't the dildoheads hang yourselves by using one of those neckties he sells or better yet just stick ur heads up your own buts and wait till he tells u to pull out.
