Heli-Power 2009

November 03, 2009 - November 05, 2009
Top Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic

Introduction

NATO and Coalition Commanders are pressing for more and more helicopters to be deployed in support of coalition operations. Nations are deploying what they can and all are raising flying rates to deliver the ever increasing requirement. Once on the battlefield, National helicopter forces no longer operate in isolation and often operate in multi-national forces. As ever, this is not easy as all Nations operate such diverse helicopters but it is leading to unprecedented levels of Working Together between all members of NATO and the Coalition.

Heli-Power 2009 will bring together the key leaders of the leading helicopter forces and the Defence Helicopter Industry to examine how we are all Working Together and how well we are doing it. The Conference will see what more can be done through Working Together to generate more helicopters and the increased capability needed to dominate the modern battlefield.  Much has been done to use commercial helicopters where possible in the more benign areas which has helped but the challenge now remains to deliver more capable military helicopters: capable of both flying, fighting and surviving in austere conditions.
