DJ Am's Autopsy Inconclusive, For Now

Although Adam "DJ Am" Goldstein's autopsy was completed Saturday afternoon, exactly how he died still remains a mystery. "The cause of death was inconclusive because we need to do additional testing," New York City Medical Examiner spokesperson Ellen Borakove told People on Saturday, a day after police discovered Goldstein, 36, dead in his Manhattan apartment. "The testing would include toxicology and tissue testing. We don't expect any results for several weeks." Borakove could not comment further on the case. "It's under investigation and when the investigation is complete we will have a cause of death and a manner of death," she said, (See more)

Week in Review: Chris Brown, Kate Gosselin, Michael Jackson and That DJ Am Shocker

Eric Dane's taped nudity is so last week (kinda). These are the stories of all shapes and sizes that demanded our attention over the last seven days, starting with one of those things that you never want to see happen, whichever day of the week it may be: 1. DJ Am: 1973-2009. Too sad, too shocking, too soon. 2. Chris Brown finally got his ass officially handed to him when he was formally sentenced to probation (which he supposedly didn't violate), community labor and other unpleasantness for what was at least his third domestic violence-related incident. 23 hours ago

By Peter McAlevey

Is this a wrap for Quentin Tarantino?   That may sound bizarre, given the bluster Harvey Weinstein was spewing last weekend, but let’s examine the facts. Every picture that “opens” breaks some record -- according to Harvey, “Basterds” is #1 in “the last two-weeks of August” (but only the #11 picture for <... (See more)

FrightFest 2009: Shadow review

Labelled by some as the renaissance of Italian horror (Argento's been on the slide for a good 20 years), Federico Zampaglione's Shadow, though flawed, proved Friday's film of the day. The tale of an American soldier returning from the war in Iraq to go mountain biking in Europe, it blends (See more)
