In these hard economic times, it's never too early to begin thinking about your retirement. Take Tony Parker, for example, age 26. The NBA All-Star has just bought himself a nice little retirement package: a French basketball team. In an interview aired on France's Infosport cable network, Parker announced his purchase of the second largest share of Asvel, France's most titled professional basketball team, and he will, he says, begin serving immediately as the club's Director of Operations. Toy Company Renames Malia, Sasha Dolls

Those Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha dolls from the toymakers responsible for Beanie Babies has had a change of heart – and have retired the renamed the playthings that bear an uncanny resemblance to First Daughters Malia and Sasha Obama. The $9.95 dolls, introduced earlier this month, shall henceforth be called "Marvelous Mariah" and "Sweet Sydney," the toy company's CEO Ty Warner, of Ty Inc., said in a statement. Profits from the sale of the two dolls are also being donated to charity, the Associated Press reports. Tom Cruise still feels the need for speed. The actor, 46, shares his love of Nascar and racing in a new interview set to air on Feb. 6 on ESPN2.
