4. Digital Paintball
This mod has balls.
Digital Paintball (no relation to the old Quake II conversion of the same name) is a paintball simulation, so if you have no idea what a marker is or what Airsoft does, you probably won't appreciate this much.
But if you are into paintball, you’ll find Digital Paintball to be a solid modification that’s far better than similar commercial games, and a whole lot cheaper (not to mention less painful) than the real thing.
Master Sword is an RPG for Half-Life, playable online and off. Comparing it with other mods is kind of silly, considering Master Sword is more like an old-school Infocom text adventure than your typical run-around-and-shoot-things conversion.
Given how complex and unusual Master Sword is, it’s a little bit hard to get into. It is highly recommended that you look around the official site and read all the instructions before embarking on your grand adventure to Daragoth. Hail and well met or something!
A very slickly produced conversion clearly heavily inspired by The Matrix, Existence has your standard round-based gameplay, but with a twist: You play as a rebel hero in your first life, but after you die you come back to life as one of the much weaker baddies, or "agents." And, of course, there’s a bunch of special moves to go along with your usual arsenal of action movie weapons.
Given Existence's quality models, level design, and animation, along with the massive popularity of anything remotely The Matrix related, it’s a wonder this conversion isn’t more popular than it is.
