Few things that are labeled "extreme" actually live up to the moniker, but the gameplay and visuals in this portable Space Invaders are definitely extraordinary. A stunning mix of old-school sprites and contemporary visual effects make Extreme look fantastic. Taito's Invaders have never possessed such kinetic energy. At the same time, the visuals also provide fan service to retro gamers -- at a glance, this is still unmistakably a Space Invaders game. This is an oversaturated world of psychedelic sights you shouldn't miss.
