Product Overview The PW300 family is a series of advanced high by-pass ratio turbofan engines, in the 4500 - 8000 thrust range, designed for clean, quiet and low cost of operation in corporate, as well as regional transport aircraft. Designed using the latest component technology, the PW300 family offers competitive fuel efficiency and optimum thrust-to-weight ratio, balanced against proven P&WC; concepts to ensure new standards of durability and reliability whilst maintaining high productivity benefits to the jet operator. PW300 Main Engine Features include: FOD resistant wide chord fan designed to the latest 3D aero modeling techniques to optimize fuel burn. HP compressor is a 4 stage axial configuration (first two stages with variable geometry guide vanes) comprised of Integrally Bladed Rotor (IBR's) + 1 stage centrifugal impeller manufactured from advanced titanium alloys for weight and durability advantages. Through flow combustor ensures efficient clean combustion to meet the latest Nox emission requirements. HP turbine module is a 2 stage configuration with cooled vanes and 1st stage blades; advanced alloys coupled with proven cooling technology results in low maintenance and direct operating cost through increased durability. LP turbine is a 3 stage module uncooled and moderately loaded for good cyclic life and low exhaust losses. Forced exhaust mixer (PW306 and PW308 only) provides improved fuel burn advantage with a resultant noise signature inside FAR Stage-3 requirements. Thrust management governed by a Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) for reduced pilot workload, enhanced engine protection and diagnostic capability.
