Object grouping tool broken?

I've been trying to get the object grouping tool in se2 to work properly, so I can select or deselect a group of objects(not all objects). I need to do this for alpha fade testing and the tool does not seem to work properly. If their is no tool for what I want to do then it will be a rocky road for my heavy object using self Sad .

Ahh nm figured it out. Woot.

Edit: Crap cannot change cam_fade_alpha by selecting all my trees in group.

Edit: found a solution for this. I hid all objects then was able to show just the trees to select for editing the cam_fade_alpha.

Edit: ack my group did not save! What the heck?

Edit again: Hmmm, created a new one to test, since I like this feature. Do you need to save favorites in order for your group to save? I seem to have been able to save it this time. I may have not have saved favorites in my other atempts. Still lost all the trees I grouped Sad and have a bunch of em.
