Singapore has come a long way since its Independence 9 August 1965. Singapore Tourism Board has formed Food & Beverages (F&B) Division in order to attract the tourist food as a primary purpose of visit and a key supporting activity for revenue generation. The Culture and Heritage Department of Singapore Trade Development has developed not only the Singaporean culture but also developed and promoted Chinese, Malay, Indian and Arab culture.
