Dear Post Man:

A good friend of mine will only date men much, much younger than her age. My friend is 43 and many of her boyfriends have barely been over 25. Should I be concerned? I'm worried my friend is trying to relive a youth that is long gone.

Yeah, I know I’d be concerned if my friend was dating a young, fit, virile man-boy.

What could possibly distress you about this? If she was meeting guys on an ex-con web site, I’d be concerned. If she was caught on “To Catch a Predator,” I’d be a little worried. But because she’s gallivanting with post-grads!?!? If anything you should be asking for details.

What is so wrong with an older woman dating a younger man anyway? Age discrepancy is totally accepted in America today. Haven’t you watched...

Dear Mr. Postman

MIXED drinks and mixed signals - the formula for a classically horrible first date. The twist? Only one of the daters was aware of it. Find out what went wrong when Charles, a 37-year-old consultant, and Gie, a 36-year-old health-care professional, met up at Midtown restaurant Mint.

He said:

I was so engrossed in a project I was working on that, despite my best effort, I still got to Mint a bit late. Gie was already there. When she found me, she looked even better than her pictures, with beautiful long hair, and she was dressed stylishly in this nice, silky dress. I'm a leg man, so the first thing I noticed was the skirt - and her great legs.

Gie, on the other hand, looked kind of surprised when she met me. She hadn't seen my picture, so she didn't know what to expect. But her reaction could've been just because I was late.

I'd only had Indian food once before, but we got some great dishes to share. Their chicken curry was delicious, and Mint was a good date spot, with candles and a low ceiling.
