Most Embarrassing Game
We grew up playing games, and at this point, we'd like to be able to tell people with a straight face that, these days, we actually like playing games more than ever. Unfortunately, though, the existence of certain games makes some of us a little embarrassed to admit it. These are games that, while not necessarily bad, are so tasteless or base that we think they end up prolonging the misconception that games are only suitable for prepubescent males. We're not suggesting that game designers should have limits in terms of what content they can put into their games. We're just calling your attention to the following five finalists for Most Embarrassing Game of 2003 because we think they're dumb:
| Publisher: Tecmo Developer: Team Ninja CHECK LATEST PRICES >>
Buy clothes for virtual girls and then zoom in on them as they wriggle around on a tropical island. Does this even count as a game? |
| Publisher: Activision Value Developer: Anivision CHECK LATEST PRICES >>
With its incredibly bad AI and given the fact that it was simply developed as a marketing tool to increase awareness of a movie, Gods and Generals is an affront to gaming. |
| Publisher: Simon & Schuster Developer: Hypnotix CHECK LATEST PRICES >>
Hot on the heels of DOA came another game masquerading as a volleyball game. It was really mostly just an excuse to exhibit a bunch of sleazy-looking characters showing skin. Why not just shell out for a copy of Girls Gone Wild? |
And the Winner is...
