Mike Huckabee slammed "fake news" and media criticisms of President Trump.

Huckabee said that mainstream news outlets slant their coverage in repeated attempts to make the president look bad.

"If Donald Trump ran into a burning building and ran out of that burning building and saved them, the New York Times headline would read "Donald Trump runs from historic structure as it burns to the ground," he said.

Huckabee said the Times has gone from being a "biased media to a corrupt media."

He added that Democrats agree with the media's disdain for Trump, and that they fear he will be successful.

"They fear he will drain the swamp, bring the jobs back [and] be able to secure the border," he said.
