Delaware Sen. Chris Coons (D) said it would be absurd to assume the alleged "third meeting" between Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Russian ambassador Kislyak would result in "collusion."
"If that were the only contact that were a subject of concern between folks in the Trump campaign and Russians then it would be absurd," Coons admitted.
However, he added, it is not. Coons said he is concerned about contacts between the Russians and Jared Kushner and Gen. Michael Flynn.
Many of these contacts were "not appropriately initially disclosed," Coons said.
Fired FBI Director James Comey testified before Congress and mentioned alleged reasons for Sessions' recusal from the Russia probe.
Comey said he could not discuss the compromising information at an open hearing.
Sessions denied the allegations seemingly raised by Comey, saying his recusal had to do with an ethics guideline that applied to his personal and political relationship with President Trump.

Sessions' fiery defense before the Senate Intelligence Committee Tuesday was "classic Jeff Sessions" the senator said.
Coons said Sessions "owes it to the [judiciary] committee" to respond its request for a separate hearing.
