Rémi Racine was appointed Chair of the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on June 21, 2012, for a five-year term.

He was first appointed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on October 12, 2007, for a four-year term, which was renewed for a further four years on December 1, 2011.

Rémi Racine is President and Executive Producer of Behaviour (formerly A2M), a company employing more than 300 talented people and which he founded in 1992. Over the past 19 years, he has contributed to position Behaviour as a world leader in the video game industry. Under his leadership, the company has ranked simultaneously among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies™ from 2006 to 2008.

Rémi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Université du Québec à Montréal.

An active member of the video game industry, Rémi has acquired a solid reputation within the business community. He is currently Chairman of Stationnement de Montréal, and is also a member of the board of the Fondation du Maire de Montréal.

Furthermore, as president of Alliance Numérique, the business network for Quebec’s new media and interactive digital content, for three years, he was recently inducted into the Canadian Game Development’s Hall of Fame as one of the pioneers of the industry. He is also a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and of the International Game Developers Association. In 2008-2009, Rémi was named President of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal after having been a member of the board for six years. His vision is the development of unparalleled games, in a creative environment where talent thrives.

Unlike analogue signals, which could be recognized and watched despite low-quality reception (i.e. snowy channel), in the case of digital, you either see the picture perfectly, or you don’t see it at all. Remember, this is over-the-air technology. You’ll need to experiment with your set-up (move your antenna around, re-scan for channels) to improve reception and maximize the number of channels you’re able to receive.

Hubert T. Lacroix was appointed President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada on November 5, 2007, for a five-year term. He began his mandate on January 1, 2008.

As President and CEO, Mr. Lacroix is responsible for overseeing the management of CBC/Radio-Canada in order to ensure that Canada’s national public broadcaster can deliver on the various aspects of its mandate and continue to offer Canadians a broad spectrum of high quality programming that informs, enlightens and entertains, and that is created by, for and about Canadians.

Just prior thereto, Mr. Lacroix held the position of Senior Advisor with the Montréal office of Stikeman Elliott, a law firm recognized nationally and internationally for its business law practice. From 2000 to 2005, he acted as Executive Chairman of Telemedia Corporationand of the other boards of directors of the various companies in the Telemedia corporate structure.

Before joining Telemedia Corporation, Mr. Lacroix was a Senior Partner at McCarthy Tétrault, another major Canadian law firm, for 20 years. His practice was concentrated in business law, mostly in mergers and acquisitions of public companies, and securities.

Mr. Lacroix received his Bachelor of Civil Law (1976) and his Master's degree in Business Administration (1981) from McGill University. He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1977. Over the years, Mr. Lacroix also sat on the boards of directors of companies likeAdventure Electronics, Cambior, Circo Craft, Donohue, Fibrek, ITS Limited Partnership, Michelin Canada, Secor, Transcontinental andZarlink Semiconductors and of non-profit organizations like l’Accueil Bonneau, the Fonds de développement du Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Martlet Foundation of McGill University. He is still a Trustee of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and a Director of their private holding company.

Just before he started at CBC/Radio-Canada, Mr. Lacroix was included in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers of Canada. He also spent five years as an Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Law at Université de Montréal where he taught securities, mergers and acquisitions. He also taught the business law module at the Quebec Bar School for many years. Finally, he was among the first in Canada to complete the ICD Corporate Governance College program, and holds the certified designation of ICD.D.

Suzanne Morris was appointed CBC/Radio-Canada’s Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective April 2009.

In addition to being responsible for all aspects of financial management and corporate information technology for Canada’s national public broadcaster, Ms. Morris plays an instrumental role in helping to achieve a sustainable economic model for the future of the Corporation.

Before becoming a member of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Senior Executive Team, Ms. Morris was Secretary/Treasurer to the CBC Pension Board of Trustees, where she was responsible for the CFO, IT, risk management, benefit administration and secretariat functions at the Pension Fund and managed operations through a period of financial market turmoil and credit crisis.

Prior to that, Ms. Morris was Vice-President, Small Business Financial Services, at Export Development Canada (EDC), where she ran the line of business serving small and mid-size companies across Canada through multiple delivery channels and was responsible for the oversight of operations and related strategy, business and product development, underwriting and stakeholder outreach functions.

She has also held senior positions in risk management and internal audit for EDC, as well as at Deloitte, where she provided audit and business advisory services to large corporate and public sector clients.

Ms. Morris earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours from the University of Ottawa in 1986 and holds a Chartered Accountant designation. She is an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario prize-winner and served as a marker for the Institute’s professional examinations. She has lectured on accounting topics at the University of Ottawa, as well.

Ms. Morris serves on the Advisory Committee to the Dean of the Carleton University Sprott School of Business. A past Board member of the Forum for International Trade Training, she is an active member of the Financial Executives Institute and the Association of Financial Professionals. In 2011, Ms. Morris was appointed a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa.

Adrienne Arsenault is a correspondent for The National, based in Toronto. Prior to that, she was London correspondent, a position she took up in the fall of 2006 after having spent three and a half years in Jerusalem. And before that, Washington D.C. was home for two and a half years.

Over the years, and across the continents, Arsenault's assignments have included disasters, conflicts, politics, sports and basic human dramas. She has won and been nominated for several Gemini awards, was named the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association's journalist of the year in 2005, picked up a Gracie award for outstanding female correspondent and a Monte Carlo Festival award for her coverage of the Zimbabwe election.

David Cochrane is Provincial Affairs Reporter for CBC Newfoundland and Labrador and the host of On Point, CBC's weekly political talk show.

Born in St. John's, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Since 1998, David has worked for CBC Television and CBC Radio primarily covering provincial politics.

David covers the House of Assembly and is a regular fill in as anchor of Here and Now.

Céline Galipeau was recently named Quebec’s most trustworthy person in a Sélection du Reader’s Digest survey. She’s been head anchor for Radio-Canada’s Le Téléjournal since January 2009.

Greatly admired for her work as a foreign correspondent, something she’s done for most of her career, Galipeau has been posted in London, Moscow, Beijing and Paris, where she’s covered landmark events over the past 20 years in Chechnya, Kosovo, Iraq and Algeria, to name only a few. She has travelled to Afghanistan on several occasions, and delivered in-depth reports in such places as India and Pakistan. In addition, while on assignment in Russia (1994–1997), China (2001–2003) and elsewhere, she’s filed reports for both CBC and Radio-Canada.

With the public broadcaster since 1984, Galipeau and has received a number of accolades over the years, including the 1995 Amnesty International Media Award for her series on the condition of women, and the Prix Raymond-Charrette, which recognizes an exemplary contribution by an electronic journalist to promoting high-quality French. In 2009, she was appointed Officer of the National Order of Quebec, and named one of Canada’s 100 most influential women by the Globe and Mail and the Women’s Executive Network.

Tom Harrington is the co-host of Marketplace, CBC Television's award-winning prime-time investigative consumer show.

A nine-time Gemini nominee, Tom Harrington was previously the sports correspondent for CBC News, reporting for The National. He was also heard as guest host on CBC Radio's The World at Six, The Current, As It Happens and Cross Country Checkup.

After earning his Masters in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario in 1981, Harrington began his CBC career in Calgary, working as both a news reporter and sports anchor. In 1983, he moved on to CBC Montreal where he worked for more than a decade in both radio and television. In 1995, he joined CBC Newsworld in Toronto as anchor of the Gemini-nominated "National Sports."

In 1997, Harrington began a seven-year run as host of Sports Journal, the Gemini Award-winning and critically acclaimed current affairs program that aired on CBC Newsworld and CBC Television.

Harrington's been a member of the CBC Sports broadcast crew at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Nagano and Sydney as well as the 1994 and 1998 Commonwealth Games. He covered the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg for Newsworld and joined the CBC News team for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, the 2004 Games in Athens, the 2006 Games in Turin, the 2008 Games in Beijing and the 2010 Games in Vancouver and Whistler. Harrington also covered the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
