Rémi Racine was appointed Chair of the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on June 21, 2012, for a five-year term.
He was first appointed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on October 12, 2007, for a four-year term, which was renewed for a further four years on December 1, 2011.
Rémi Racine is President and Executive Producer of Behaviour (formerly A2M), a company employing more than 300 talented people and which he founded in 1992. Over the past 23 years, he has contributed to position Behaviour as a world leader in the video game industry. Under his leadership, the company has ranked simultaneously among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies™ from 2006 to 2008.
An active member of the video game industry, Rémi has acquired a solid reputation within the business community. He is currently Chairman of Stationnement de Montréal, and is also a member of the board of the Fondation du Maire de Montréal.
Furthermore, as president of Alliance Numérique, the business network for Quebec’s new media and interactive digital content, for three years, he was recently inducted into the Canadian Game Development’s Hall of Fame as one of the pioneers of the industry. He is also a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and of the International Game Developers Association. In 2008-2009, Rémi was named President of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal after having been a member of the board for six years.
