A Mississauga woman found dead in her driveway was "concealed" at her residence before her body was discovered, Peel Regional Police say.

Cheryl McVarish, 43, was reported missing on March 13. She was discovered on the driveway of a Westmount Avenue home in the Lakeshore Road East and Cawthra Road area in Mississauga on March 20.

"Our investigation indicates is that she never left the property," Det.-Sgt. Dan Johnstone of Peel Regional Police told reporters on Tuesday.

"She was a resident there and we believe she was concealed by the accused."

Johnstone said McVarish was a victim of "domestic homicide."

Police have said blunt force trauma was a contributing factor to her death but they do not know exactly when she died.

Gil Dasilva, 64, of Mississauga, the father of McVarish's boyfriend, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder in her death.

Johnstone said her boyfriend is not a suspect in the homicide. McVarish lived with her boyfriend and his father in the Mississauga home.

The new details on the homicide came as Peel Regional Police Chief Jennifer Evans updated the public on three homicide cases on Tuesday.
