Several breaded chicken products produced by Maple Leaf Foods are being recalled in Ontario and Quebec because they may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The products are:

  • Maple Leaf brand Chicken Breast Strips, 840 grams, best before date April 20, 2018, retail package code 2018 AL 20 7110, UPC 0 63100 03089 6
  • Sufra Halal brand Chicken Burgers, 828 grams, best before date Jan. 20, 2018, retail package code 2018 JA 20 7115, UPC 0 61483 05778 3
  • Mina Halal Chicken Burgers, 828 grams, retail package code 7118, UPC 0 63100 42143 4 

There have not been any reports of illnesses, but the CFIA says to contact a doctor if you think you became sick after consuming these products.
