Mayor Donna Barr told DailyMail.com: 'Our elders tell us the island went two miles further north when they were young. That's all gone now.' PIERS: Banning Coulter is the death of freedom of speech

I once spent 30 minutes on CNN shouting at Ann Coulter as she tried to defend calling President Obama a ‘retard’. The ferocity of our exchange was only matched by the ferocity of our drinking session afterwards, which ended in a dingy Manhattan piano bar at 3am. I usually disagree with everything she is saying. But I enjoy our battles because she’s very smart, highly entertaining, and like me, loves a good argument. More importantly, she makes me think hard about my own opinions on big issues. This is how a proper democratic society should work.
