Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, joined Martha MacCallum on "The First 100 Days" tonight to discuss the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the U.S. presidential election.
Lankford said that his committee's top priority is to "get the facts."
"The facts need to lead us wherever we need to go," Lankford said, explaining that this is a "complicated" issue with multiple unanswered questions.
"You've got Russian interference in our election," Lankford said. "How do we prepare for the next elections? How did they find ways to be able to engage with us? Was there any collusion or connection there? What did that look like? How were the Russians trying to reach out to individuals here? ... Were there leaks? And how did those leaks get out?"
He said they are going through the investigation step-by-step and looking to answer those questions.
As for former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn getting immunity, Lankford said that's for committee chairman Richard Burr to determine.
