Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn is seeking an immunity deal in exchange for testifying to FBI and congressional investigators about Russian's interference in the U.S. presidential election.
The deal - for which President Donald Trump expressed his support - was reportedly rejected by the Senate Intelligence Committee. A ranking member of the House Intelligence Community said it was too early to decide on an immunity deal.
Although the actual facts of the case are still largely unknown, many Democrats and pundits quickly jumped on this new Flynn news, suggesting that a proposed immunity deal is an acknowledgement from Flynn that he did something illegal.
On "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight, Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, pushed back against those who are condemning Flynn.
"Mike Flynn is the victim," Schlapp said. "He was unmasked, and his identity was leaked to major news publications. And now, it's the Democrats saying somehow that Mike Flynn is the person who has broken the law. It's ironic how they turn everything on its head."

He argued that Flynn's request for an immunity deal suggests that crimes were committed, and he's looking to protect himself.
"If he was unmasked, then he was a victim," guest host Jesse Watters countered. "You can't unmask someone. That's a criminal abuse of power."
