We are committed to becoming a greener organization. That means putting in place initiatives to become even more sustainable and sensitizing our people to the importance of a healthy environment. We also want to ensure that our environmental program is sound and efficient in its governance and implementation:
- We are developing benchmarks and targets adapted to our industry in order to better measure our performance.
- We are improving our environmental management system.
- We are clarifying the mandates, roles and responsibilities of committees and employees whose work impacts our environment-related activities.
Our 2011–2012 Environmental Performance Report holds us true to this commitment and demonstrates how we are finding new ways to minimize our impact on the environment.
We can still improve in certain areas of our performance. We’ll continue to evolve our thinking around environmental sustainability and remain accountable for it so Canadians can assess our progress on our way to becoming a greener, better organization.
