Event Summary

This event was the first Internet Society conference in Lebanon and the first INET conference in the Middle East. Organised by the Internet Society in association with the Internet Society Lebanon Chapter, it was aimed at a  wide spectrum of Internet users hailing mainly from Lebanon.

Main themes were:

  • Doing Business in the Social Networking Era
  • Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
  • Child Safety on the Internet

Routing Security Workshop

Participant are encouraged to bring their portables to the training room starting 11:00 am to make sure that they are set for the workshop
Workshop Syllabus:

    Routing Security and Route Origin Validation (no more YouTube incidents)
    Introduction to the Resource Private Key Infrastructure being deployed by IANA, RIRs, and large ISPs
    Using the RPKI for Origin Validation and other things
    Introduction to the Open Source Toolkit for the RPKI

Prerequisites for participants:

    Unix System Administration
    Good Understanding of bgp
    Portable Computer with linux partition
