EFI Election Pledge 2014

At this crucial time in the Middle East, and during the moment of change in the European Parliament, we have reached an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment and intention to do all we can to find a lasting solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

It is within this context that we have heard the President of the European Parliament MEP Martin Schulz and the High Representative of Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton, publically oppose the boycott of the state of Israel in February and March 2014.

With this in mind and with an understanding that the European Parliament in 2014 will play a pivotal role in the Middle East, we ask you to join us in the pledge:

If elected as an MEP in May 2014 I pledge to:

  1. Support the establishment of a two state solution through a negotiated agreement, to end the conflict and claims in the Israeli Palestinian conflict

  2. To oppose moves to Boycott of the State of Israel in the European Parliament
