Disappeared! Battery on my tablet completely ran out. After recharging, the paprika app is still on my tablet but all recipes are gone! Very upsetting !!!!!! Up until this issue would have given a 5 star rating...can't now as what good is a recipe app if the recipes disappear!

This is a great recipe app, plain and simple. I love that you can import recipes from websites and edit each recipe to your heart's content. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because its interface needs work. Since this app works over multiple devices, I have it installed on my tablet, phone and Mac. To get it to sync across those apps is tricky in finding the login option and sync option. Finding the screen to do that is not intuitive. The mobile login page (on the android side) is fraught with login problems that seems to only be able to be solved by logging in on a computer first and then saving the password somewhere to manually enter in on the mobile devices. Both my phone and table told me that my email address was not valid when trying to reset my password, but the same email address worked fine when entered in on the computer. And once you're in the reset screen, there's no way back out to the main menu aside from hitting back a bunch of times. The dropdown menu on the right should include these options as a tab to make it easier to find and navigate. Putting those complaints aside, the app itself is outstanding and tops above all the other recipe apps.

Still Broken! Do not waste your money! So many bugs that this app is hardly usable. When switching from one category to another, the top menu options don't update properly. Some times when you tap on a recipe from the calender it goes to the shopping list. Sad, because the iOS app is awesome.

The Best! I'm addicted to recipes! I have tried too many recipe\cookbook programs to count. I have one I paid almost $100 for but do I use it??? Nope, I keep coming back to Paprika! I've added it on my Samsung 4s, iPad, tablet and hubby's iPhone... synced them all so no matter where we are ... ie.. grocery store, daughter's house or parents I have all my favorite recipes with me! I've told dozens of people about how great this app is. By the way, I have over 3,400 recipes in my app and it's still going strong!

Best recipe app This is my go to app to store my recipes. It is so easy to use and I love that it is cross platform so I can use it on all my devices.

My favouritist app ever I love to cook and used to keep all my recipes in Google Drive but since finding this it has been a huge improvement. I've almost never had a problem importing recipes to the app, the grocery and meal planning works great for my weekly meal plan and shopping list plus the search and categorisation is awesome when you have over 600 recipes stored. I have it on my tablet, phone and pc :) The three licenses granted with the pc is great too plus the ability to reset it when you get a new computer is handy too!
Favorite app This app has improved my life. I waste less food because I can search by ingredient to find ways to use up what I have. It is helpful to be able to scale any recipe. I also love the grocery list feature. One minor issue is that sometimes when you try to switch from the browser tab to the recipes, it does not work. You have to hit the back arrow a few times for the recipes to appear. It's still my favorite and most used app.
The product works okay however the menu planning feature leaves no room for adjustment. The week starts on a Sunday making planning meals for me extremely awkward when my meal planning week starts on a Saturday. When I asked support about this they said it would be changed on the next upgrade. When the next upgrade came out just this past February there was no change to the menu planning feature. When I emailed support again I received no reply. 2 emails later, still no response. Least they could do is talk to me about it. Customer service stinks for this product so I'll be looking for something better.
I loved it - now not so much I loved this app for several years. I have had it on my computer and three androids including my phone. The last few times I have created a grocery list on one android, it no longer synced it to my other androids. One of the powers of this app is the ability to use the recipe manager on one device, build your grocery list and head for the grocery with just your phone. This function has stopped working for me. It syncs recipes just fine and to some degree, it syncs the meal plans, but not grocery lists
Not as good as the iphone or windows version It's lacking some important functions that other platforms have - why?! Subcategories, monthly view, pantry(!) are all missing?! Please add them asap!! Meal planning in windows is superior, weekly view is much nicer in ipad, all-in-all I feel that not as much effort was put into the android app.
Sync Issue NO SUPPORT! It isn't syncing correctly and support seems to be nonexistent! Have it on my iPad and love it but don't want to drag it into the grocery store so I purchased the Android version. The sync drops half of my recipes! The backup is correct so I was able to restore my lots data. Paprika - wake up!
Pretty great, but... I frequently try to go to the recipes and get stuck on groceries, or vice versa. I would like to be able to set it to sync every time I use it. I have gotten to the grocery store many times and realized the list was missing stuff because I forgot to sync when I was on the tablet. I already have it set to sync automatically as often as it will let me. Also, I too would like to be able to enlarge the pics that go with the recipes.
WARNING! this app has has no provision for exporting or local backup of recipes - say goodbye to all the time you spend saving recipes because sooner or later you're going to have to cut & paste them into another app. The app works fairly well considering it has had no updates for over a year, but it's only a matter of time until an Android update makes it obsolete. A slap in the face to anyone who has gotten sucked in. I know because I'm moving 300 + recipes to a new app right now. won't make this mistake again.
Robust recipe manager I really like the program. Makes it easy to organize recipes in a way that makes sense as I can design my own category. Able to save recipes on a Cloud Drive and then access it with different devices. In order to access it with multiple devices, you have to buy the program multiple times as each device type has a different program. The Android version is nowhere near as robust as the Windows version. It also does not grab recipes from web sites well. I copy paste alot. Good program worth price.
Good start, needs work The app is easy to use and the bookmarklet works well. Important missing feature: recipe export. I don't want the future of my entire recipe collection to be trapped in a single app with no option for transferring it elsewhere. It also wouldn't hurt to hire a good android UI person, as the interface is kind of clunky and ugly. Finally, they need to have a web interface to your recipe collection so you can easily get to it from anywhere, any time.
Cooking made manageable. Paprika is a great app. I have both the Android version and the Mac version for my computer. After much research and trial and error, I found that Paprika is the best solution for those that have a Mac computer and an Android phone. The main thing I like about Paprika over other apps is it's ability to consolidate items on a shopping list. Other apps don't seem smart enough to combine the ingredient items leaving a really messy list with redundancy. Paprika doesn't have that issue. Also the ability to just grab a recipe from a website automatically is pretty awesome as well. This app is on my list of "must-have" apps.
Clever, simple, and effective. Note cards and recipe books are nice, but there are so many recipes already available that typing them in by hand is simply a waste of time. Paprika allows you to use a vast amount of resources to collect your favorite recipes. Better yet, it allows for nearly instant - not to mention flawless - scaling of recipes! Well worth it - especially if you've been using it for years like me.
Okay, but not nearly as good as iOS Paprika sort of does everything I want, but it feels half baked on Android. Small things like accent marks breaking search and awkward category filtering. As a long time user I have often wished the UX would eventually better match other Android apps or at least improve - but it hasn't. Having said that, it's the best recipe app by far, however it makes this all the more frustrating.
Love Paprika. The -2 stars are because it doesn't probably won't come with a Linux version (I understand their constraints) which handicaps easy editing and copying pasting of recipes. Wish it came with a web interface so I could do these things easily even if it comes at an additional cost. For now, I'm slowly migrating back to Libreoffice recipe templates ad maybe in the near future to Google Docs. I don't need any of the extra fancy features, just the name, ingredients, method and notes which are accessible to me on the web, and on my phone and tablet.

A Windows version is coming soon! So very disappointed with this app ($6), especially after shelling out for the Windows version ($25) to make it better. Using it in practice is frustrating and unclear. 1. It isn't clear how many serves you've added when you add a recipe to the grocery list - it can't seem to easily scale to a desired number of people. 2. When adding another dish or two to the mealplan, when you add it to your grocery list it doubles up existing entries, but gives no indication this is done. 3. You can't edit the order of aisles, so get used to a lot of scrolling up and down. 4. Aisle changes to foods in the grocery list do not stick, so I guess you'll need to edit recipes to have them where they actually are. 5. Sometimes when you click on 'to buy' it still shows everything. The only thing it seems to do well is import recipes from its list of websites. That's not a lot of great, really.
Excellent recipe management app, with integrated shopping list. I use it mainly for own recipes but you can also browse recipes from a great amount of websites and save them into your paprika database. Recipes and shopping list sync automatically to several devices (via cloud). What I probably like the most of this app is its lack of integration with social media. You won't have to post your recipes online, won't have to "like" them, and nobody's going to know what you eat at home. And for the occasional time that a friends asks you to share a particular recipe of yours, you simply click on "email recipe" - the simple oldfashioned way. Mac versions are more elegant and have slightly more refined options than Windows/Android. Would be nice to see this harmonize in the future. Nevertheless Windows/Android versions are fully usable without issue.
Could be awesome but instead notsomuch The developers of this app particularly Steven Wei & Christine Meranda are incredibly mediocre. Many if the advertised functionalities are not there. This may be due to them wishing it would work that way so they just throw that in to entice people to buy. Their customer service skills are completely nonexistent and there is no, zero, none customer support. My confidence is waning and it will be sooner rather than later that someone else comes out with a better version. Sad really, it had such promise.

What's New
Hi folks. I am pleased to announce a major upgrade to Paprika’s web browser that we have been working on for quite some time. To make it easier to save recipes from your favorite sites, we have built a natural language processing engine into Paprika that can automatically recognize any recipe written in plain English on any website.
This means that you no longer have to request support for specific sites to be added. Just press Save Recipe and Paprika will figure out the rest.
