Honour our ANZACs at one of Ballarat's Commemorative Services.
Details of 2016 Commemorative Day services will be made available closer to the day.
The City of Ballarat is undertaking research into the soldiers along all of the City of Ballarat’s Avenues of Honour. These avenues were planted at various sites across Ballarat to mark the service of local soldiers, the most famous of which was the planting along what is now known as Remembrance Drive.
The Ballarat Avenue will be the initial focus of the project. Information gathered will be developed into a web based application that will be available at the City of Ballarat website, with links across various digital platforms.
If you have any information about a soldier in your family or extended family, call the City of Ballarat at 5320 5798.

Every week, the Ballarat Library posts on its Ballarat 1914-1918 blog, featuring stories of individual Ballarat soldiers and nurses, and exploring how the city reacted to the war. Visit Central Highlands Libraries Ballarat 1914-1918 Blog.
To commemorate the ANZAC Centenary 2014-2018, the State Government is calling on all Victorians to share their family stories of service through the First World War. Share your family story at the ANZAC Centenary website.
These stories will serve as a reminder of the service of our forebearers and to ensure their legacy lives on.
