We warmly invite you to attend the 2014 conference of the Ecological Society of Australia, to be held in Alice Springs from 28 September to 3 October. Alice Springs lies in the heart of arid Australia, and provides a spectacular environment for a meeting of ecologists, policy makers and land managers. The conference will feature symposia on regionally relevant issues such as arid ecology, the ecology of northern development, and Indigenous ecological knowledge. However, it will cover the full range of biomes, from deserts to oceans, and embrace all aspects of ecological theory and practice.

ESA 2014 is an opportunity to network with some of the world’s leading ecologists, to experience the vibrant culture of Alice Springs, and to explore the natural wonders of the MacDonnell Ranges and beyond. We look forward to seeing you there.

Professor Alan Andersen
Chief Research Scientist, CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences
Chair, ESA 2014 Local Organising Committee
