Josh Harris
Director of Policy, TRUSTe

Most recently, Josh served as Policy Director for Future of Privacy Forum, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that seeks to advance responsible data practices. Previously, Josh was Associate Director in the Office of Technology and Electronic Commerce at the International Trade Administration. Josh has also worked in private practice as an international trade attorney.

In 2004, he was selected to the White House’s Presidential Management Fellowship program. In 2008, Josh was recognized with a professional award for his contributions to a Presidential trade initiative. In 2012, Josh received the United States Department of Commerce Gold Medal – the highest award offered by the Department – for his work on the APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules System. From 2011 – 2013, Josh was the Vice-Chair of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation’s (APEC) Data Privacy Subgroup and Chair of the Cross Border Privacy Rules System’s Joint Oversight Panel. Previously, Josh was the Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Privacy and Information Security Committee.

Josh received his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 2004 and his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2000. Josh was admitted to the Washington, DC bar in 2005.

Elizabeth Blass
VP, Client Service

As the Vice President of Client Services, Elizabeth brings 15 years of customer care leadership experience to the global support initiatives at TRUSTe.

Previously, Elizabeth was the Senior Director of Co-Location Customer Service Operations at CME Group, a global derivatives marketplace headquartered in Chicago, where she created and managed a 24 x 7 multi-channel support center, customer portal, and quality management program.

Prior to CME Group, Elizabeth was Regional Service Vice President at Verizon Business. Supporting multinational enterprise accounts, Elizabeth drove continuous improvement for service delivery, post-install technical advocacy, and service management. Previously, she created an executive-level escalation resolution organization.

Elizabeth holds a BS in Business Management and is pursuing a MS in Management, Strategy, and Leadership at Michigan State University.

Ray Everett
Director of Product, Compliance Solutions

Ray Everett, CIPP/US, is Principal Consultant and Director of Product for Compliance Solutions at TRUSTe. Ray has spent nearly two decades working at the intersection of privacy and risk management. Appointed as one of the first US corporate privacy officers in 1999, he was an original founding board member of the IAPP.

Prior to joining TRUSTe, Ray managed global advertising and search privacy issues for Yahoo, and served as general manager for the privacy monitoring business unit at Keynote Systems.

Co-author of two books on privacy, he has also provided consulting on customer and human resources data privacy issues for more than two dozen Global 2000 firms in healthcare, financial services, online services, brick-and-mortar retail, and e-commerce.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Ray is a graduate of George Washington University Law School.

Joanne Furtsch
Director, Product Policy

Joanne Furtsch is a leading expert in global online privacy practices spanning website, advertising, mobile and application privacy with deep specialization in COPPA and European Union Safe Harbor compliance. Joanne is currently Director of Product Policy at TRUSTe the leading privacy certification and compliance authority on the web. Joanne joined TRUSTe in 1999, and oversaw many operational, policy and product functions, and is responsible for TRUSTe's program requirements that define the basis of the certification products and operations.

Joanne has contributed extensive practical expertise on a number of ground-breaking services TRUSTe offers to customers, including TRUSTed Data Collection certification, TRUSTe's Small Business solution, European Union Safe Harbor Seal program, Email Privacy Seal program, and the Trusted Downloads Program that all help businesses enhance consumer trust, drive increased registrations and transactions, and comply with complex privacy requirements.

Joanne has written on a variety of privacy-related topics including Privacy Advice on Companies Using Social Network Tools, and contributing to TRUSTe's public comments on the FTC Privacy Report and Department of Commerce's Privacy Green Paper. Joanne currently serves on the Privacy Committee for the Mobile Marketing Association co-chairing the Location-based Services working group to develop privacy guidelines for location-based services. Joanne has also served on the Advisory Committee to develop the Recommended Practices on California Information-Sharing Disclosures and Privacy Policy Statements for the California Office of Privacy Protection. She graduated with a B.A. in Finance from California State University, Fullerton, and holds both CIPP and CIPP/C certifications.

Ken Parnham
Managing Director, EMEA

Ken Parnham is the Managing Director, EMEA at TRUSTe. Prior to joining Truste Ken was at OpenX the RTB exchange and Adserver. Ken was responsible for successfully rolling the Adexchange into Europe and rolling out the business to Germany, Amsterdam and France. With a core team of 30 plus people based in London OpenX had acquired many premium publishers.

Prior to joining OpenX, Ken was at AOL where he served as Managing Director, working specifically on the company’s ad serving platform ADTECH. Among his responsibilities were pitching for new business and client retention, managing the UK and Irish market, both commercially and strategically. During his time at AOL, Ken won and retained clients including Sky, IPC, Bauer, Vibrant Media and Perform.

Before AOL, Ken served as Director of European Ad-Operations and Product development for Hi-media (AdLINK Internet Media) where he was the business lead for the in-house Ad-server and oversaw the strategic organization and support for local Ad Operation teams across Europe. This followed a role as European Group Head of Ad-Systems for Wanadoo / Orange France telecom.

Chris Babel
Chief Executive Officer

Chris Babel is the CEO of TRUSTe, the leading trustmark and recognized authority on Internet trust and privacy. Chris possesses over a decade of experience building online trust, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of VeriSign's worldwide Authentication Services business, where he was responsible for strategy, sales, marketing, product and support.

Chris also previously managed VeriSign's SSL and Managed Security Services business. In these roles he helped grow the businesses though the launch of new products to enterprise and small/medium businesses, international expansion in EMEA and Asia and through acquisition and integration of a number of companies. Chris also spent time in Corporate Development and as Chief of Staff to the CEO where he led strategic planning and execution of over 20 acquisitions.

Prior to joining VeriSign, Chris served as an Associate in Morgan Stanley's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions group and its Corporate Finance group working on transactions like Netscape's sale to AOL.

Chris holds a BA in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and Economics with Highest Distinction from Northwestern University and lives with his wife and three sons in San Francisco.

Tim Sullivan
Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Tim oversees the Finance and Accounting, Legal, IT, HR and Policy functions at TRUSTe. Tim brings to TRUSTe over 20 years of financial and strategic management expertise with technology companies. Prior to joining TRUSTe, Tim was a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley's Technology Group.

At Morgan Stanley, Tim worked with the full spectrum of technology companies -- computer hardware, software, internet, semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment, and contract manufacturing -- and spent several years as the Co-Head of its Global Semiconductor Practice.

Tim helped his clients raise over $12 billion in equity and debt financings and advised on over $20 billion in strategic mergers and acquisitions.

Tim has a BS in Business Administration with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley.

Patricia Neuray
Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of National Sales, Patricia oversees sales to Enterprise and SMB clients and their advertising agencies as well as networks and technology platforms. Her team’s focus is to provide a full suite of privacy management solutions in order to help companies navigate an increasingly complex privacy landscape.

Patricia has a deep background in digital sales and marketing. She has held senior management positions for the last 15 years both in online and offline sales and marketing. Prior to TRUSTe, Patricia was at Business.com where she was the Senior Vice President of National Ad Sales and Customer Marketing. Prior to that, Patricia worked for a division of Monster.com where she was SVP of New Business Development at TMP Worldwide and managed a large national team. At Yahoo, she was Vice President of Search and was responsible for more than $300 million in annual revenue. Patricia began her career in advertising sales and marketing for a variety of technology and news publications such as Newsweek. She also launched and was the publisher of a Mac magazine when she worked for Imagine Media.

Patricia holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida

Dave Deasy
Vice President of Marketing

Dave Deasy is VP of Marketing and manages global communications, product marketing, and demand generation for TRUSTe. Dave has played a significant role in TRUSTe’s transformation from a website certification provider into a global enterprise providing a full suite of data privacy management products via the TRUSTe Data Privacy Management Platform. In addition to launching innovative products including TRUSTed Ads and TRUSTed Interests, Dave has led the development of a comprehensive thought leadership program which has delivered over 10 in-depth consumer privacy research reports, dozens of educational webinars, and multiple summits and workships in both the US and Europe – including the TRUSTe highly successful IoT Summit. Dave is a regular attendee and speaker at a wide range of industry events ranging from IAPP to ad:tech to IAB and frequent contributor to a wide range of media publications.

Dave brings has over twenty years experience managing marketing and business operations across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining TRUSTe, Dave was SVP Marketing & Sales for the consumer software business at Phoenix Technologies. Prior to Phoenix, Dave was VP SaaS Marketing and GM of the Zoomerang Online Survey business at MarketTools. Dave also helped build the AOL Small Business Unit, built and launched HP’s Consumer E-Commerce Channel, and led an enterprise services marketing organization at HP. Dave holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Ken Okumura
Vice President of Engineering

As Vice President of Engineering Ken is responsible for TRUSTe's engineering technology and operations.  Ken brings to TRUSTe over 20 years of experience building and scaling core Internet infrastructure in security, commerce, and communications. 

Most recently Ken led engineering efforts at Qualys, a company specializing in vulnerability management.  Prior to that, Ken was at Google following its acquisition of Postini, where he was responsible for building its messaging security and management systems. Prior to Postini, Ken spent eight years at VeriSign developing and managing its cryptographic, PKI and payments systems infrastructure.  Earlier in his career, he held engineering management positions at VISA and GTE.  Ken has a Bachelor of Architecture and BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Kevin Trilli
Vice President of Product Management

Kevin brings over 15 years of high-tech product management and entrepreneurial experience to TRUSTe and is an industry thought leader around online identity, reputation and trust.

Prior to TRUSTe, Kevin founded AssertID, a technology company that provides identity- and age-verification services for social networks. Previously, Kevin spent eight years at VeriSign, including as director of product management for the SSL, authentication and security services business units. Kevin holds multiple patents and patent applications in online identity.Before joining the Internet industry, Kevin held positions in the semiconductor and chemical industries in product management, product development, engineering and operations.

Kevin has a Masters of Science in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he is a Sloan Fellow. Kevin also holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he concurrently served as a lab administrator for the University Computer Services Organization.

Pat Schoof
Head of Human Resources

Pat Schoof is TRUSTe's Head of Human Resources and brings over 20 years experience in the full spectrum of Human Resources in global high tech, solar and retail companies.

Pat has played leading roles in dramatic organizational changes, including multiple IPO's (SFLY, CRM) as well as guiding organizations tM&A;'s and reorganizations.Pat has a strong focus on compensation, HRIS, coaching & development, team building and building a dynamic value based cultures in growing fast-paced environments.

Pat has worked at some high profile companies including McAfee, salesforce , The North Face and Shutterfly. Pat holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Santa Clara.
