Employer engagement for the land-based sector

Building on existing work with employers in the land-based sector, this project seeks to develop greater flexibility in the design and delivery of learning programmes.

Many land-based businesses have a wide geographical distribution, with a dispersed workforce in small to medium-sized enterprises, and micro businesses, many of which are sole traders. This project will introduce greater online learning to blend with existing face-to-face learning and materials. The College will, therefore, be able to reach out to more employers in the land-based sector to provide work-based learning packages that meet their needs.

A new blended learning framework will incorporate the production of online accessible and CD-based support materials, enhanced support for trainers, and an online registration and assessment system.
