Princeton Review: Lehigh tops for entrepreneurs

If you're looking to launch your own company someday, Lehigh University is one your best bets among U.S. colleges.

That's according to The Princeton Review, which has released its 2014 list of the Top 25 best undergraduate school for entrepreneurs, in cooperation with Entrepreneur magazine.

Lehigh ranked 20th this year on the strength of its Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation.

"We commend Lehigh University and all of the other institutions on our list this year not only for their superb faculties and wide range of courses in entrepreneurship, but also for their out-of-class offerings," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president and publisher, in a statement. "Their students have extraordinary opportunities to network with established entrepreneurs, interact on teams that turn promising ideas into possible startups, and develop skills to launch their own successful businesses."

It's the third time this year that Lehigh has been recognized for entrepreneurship. This summer, the university was named one of Ten Great Colleges for Aspiring Entrepreneurs by Online-education.net and its College of Business and Engineering was ranked 12th for entrepreneurship specialty programs by Bloomberg Business Week.

"We're gratified to yet again be recognized among the nation's leaders in entrepreneurship education and for building a supportive, vibrant ecosystem," said Todd Watkins, Lehigh professor of economics and Baker Institute executive director. "Following as it does on the heels of a separate national ranking by BusinessWeek, it is clear that Lehigh is firmly on the map as a go-to university for aspiring entrepreneurs and creative thinkers."
