What a Tool
Designing Wii games may be getting a bit easier for developers. Nintendo’s Takeshi Shimada recently discussed a development suite called NintendoWare that would enable Wii emulation on PCs. This would cut out the time consuming step of loading game data into the Wii developer Kit every time changes are made to the software. Nintendo is also developing a middleware application that will simplify fur shading. And the Furries thank you.

Teeth
Majesco Entertainment has announced that JAWS Unleashed has made it to the PS2 Greatest Hits list. The game will now sport the $19.99 Greatest Hits price tag, so there’s no better time to get your chomp on. Really was there any doubt this title would make it? There are countless titles that let you shoot someone, but how many let you take a bite out of jet-skiers and would be vacationers.

Can't Resist
While surfing along over at Evil Avatar I came across this post. Seems Amazon is having a 50% off sale on Blu-Ray movies. No I don’t mean to go all X-Files over here, but Sony shows us Home, and LittleBigPlanet, and now Blu-Rays are on sale. I wasn’t born yesterday Sony! There really is no sense in fighting it anymore, I know how this is going to end.

Rock!
Get out your credit card and get ready to charge! April 3rd – 13th Activision, Inc and Red Bull present the Rock, Paint, Bid auction to benefit MusiCares. Custom painted Guitar Hero II controllers created by Celebs from the music, film, art, and sports world like Tony Hawk, Tenacious-D, and Nickleback will all go to the highest bidder. If you’re more of an “in-person” sort, the guitars will be on display at Hi-Lo in Austin, TX March 9-18, and the event will culminate with a live performance by an unnamed rock legend!

Love Hate
Games For Windows recently invited gaming professionals to share their thoughts about the state of the industry for a piece titled Love + Hate (Apr 07). With only one exception, everyone that responded had only good things to say. That was not the case however at the GDC this week. The opening day panel, Burning Mad: Game Publishers Rant, gave a glimpse into opinions we really want to here. You know, the ones that make people cry.
