Freedom of Information 

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives you the right to access recorded information held by public authorities such as Carmarthenshire County Council. The Act requires the Council to make a large amount of information routinely available to the public. We have therefore adopted the Information Commissioner’s model Publication Scheme.

The Information Commissioner’s Office is an independent body which ensures that public authorities comply with the Act and provides extensive guidance on the Act, including advice on how to make effective use of this legislation.
