The mission of the Liberace Foundation is to help talented students pursue careers in the performing and creative arts through scholarship assistance and artistic exposure.

Celebrating over 30 Years of Funding the Arts
Since 1976, The Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts has awarded more than 2,700 students with scholarships.

Liberace considered The Foundation one of his greatest achievements. In his book, The Things I Love, Liberace stated, "a lot of good things have happened to me in show business and I want to do what I can to give others just starting out a career boost. I hope The Foundation projects will continue into the future to offer gifted newcomers financial help, and in many cases, artistic exposure as well."

At age seven, Liberace received a scholarship to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he would receive classical training on the piano.  It was from this experience that he learned the value of scholarships.

Although the world knew Liberace as a pianist and showman, he never failed to use the drawing power of his famous stage and television shows as a launching pad for the careers of other talented individuals. He would introduce opera singers from the Metropolitan, dancers from famed ballet companies, noted artisans to decorate the sets for his shows -- and his costume designer's creations would often rival the coronation robes of royalty. Liberace's music would entertain and introduce audiences the world over to both the classics and popular music.

He would perform with major symphonies from the London Philharmonic to the Boston Pops. Liberace truly loved the arts and did all he could to bring their appreciation to the world. It is only appropriate that the Foundation that bears his name continues his dream of supporting the arts.
