Australia-India Energy and Minerals Forum

Australian - India Energy and Minerals forum 

Australia hosted the first Australia-India Energy and Minerals Forum (Forum) in Perth on 7-8 June 2010.

The Forum provided a valuable opportunity to enhance energy and mineral cooperation between Australia and India by strengthening links between Australian and Indian governments, research organisations, industry and associations.

The Forum provided participants from both countries the opportunity to:

  • hold roundtable discussions between experts on issues across all five Strategic Action Plans (coal; mining; petroleum and natural gas; new and renewable energy; and power)
  • showcase technical and research capabilities in both countries
  • bring together technical and non-technical people from industry, government and the research sectors of both countries.
