The IR-D15A provides 14 "momentary" outputs that remain ON while holding the transmitter button down, and 1 "latching" output that is toggled ON & OFF when depressing and releasing the transmitters power or On / OFF button.

With the IR-D15A building your own custom remote control system is incredibly simple, very affordable, and you can use your favorite universal IR remote transmitter to control them -- It just doesn't get any easier than this.

The IR-D15A is an 18-pin DIP microcontroller - preprogrammed by Reynolds Electronics to decode Sony® Corporations infrared remote control command protocol. Use any infrared remote control transmitter that can be programmed to use the Sony® infrared protocol to control the IR-D15A IC.

	The IR-D15A IC requires only 5VDC power + "1" external component [1 40KHz IR detector module] for a fully functional receiver circuit.
	The IR-D15A provides 14 momentary & 1 latching output in a single 18-pin package.

	Most decoder ICs require a secondary drive circuit such as a transistor to control a simple LED. The IR-D15A can directly drive up to 25mA max per pin, [200mA total per IC], and drive LEDs directly with a single current limiting resistor.
	PWR latching power control output provided for remote control power ON/OFF of the remotely controlled device.
	The IR-D15A IC requires no external oscillator or crystal to function, reducing overall circuit noise considerably.
