Twitters! Will we see you at the Reading Twestival 2009?
Time to put your money where you beak is! It is Twestival time this week and you need to come out from behind the computer and meet like-minded Twitters – in the real world!
Reading Twestival is the nearest and dearest to our fluttering hearts and will see many of the names so familiar to you on Twitter appearing in the flesh at The Mix Bar in Reading, Berkshire at 7.30pm on Thursday 10th September.
There is lots of chatter on Twitter about Twestivals around the world and ours can be tracked by searching for #rdgtwestival. You know you need to be there!
The event is thoroughly charitable and all money raised goes to local Berkshire charity Daisy's Dream – and the Reading Twestival have blogged about Daisy’s Dream if you would like to know more.
If meeting the likes of me (@nigel_morgan) and other Newbury Twitterati like @TheSourceress is not enough to motivate you, other great reasons to attend include: networking opportunities, loads of freebies, a charity raffle with great prizes from the likes of Lush and Premier Inn, live music from Newbury band Chasing Vegas (surely you follow @PeacockPete already) and there will be custom twitter themed cocktails exclusive to the event – pictured right – such as ‘The Fail Whale, The ReTweet and The Hashtag (that last one could be interesting!)
