ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- In the ring he was unstoppable.
But on Monday, former WWE wrestling star, Travis Tomko, met his match in St. Johns County where police pinned him for allegedly robbing a local pharmacy.
It all started on Oct. 8, 2011 at the CVS Pharmacy on State Road 312.
According to a police report obtained by Action News, the 38-year-old former wrestler walked up to the St. Augustine pharmacy and told them he lost his prescription oxycodone and asked if anyone turned it in. The pharmacist told him no and he left the store.
The next day, Tomko arrived at the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist to advance him some oxycodone. The pharmacist turned him down.
According to police, on day three he refused to take no for an answer.
Police say Tomko walked up to the consultation desk at CVS and told the pharmacist to go to the safe and give him all the oxycodone he had. The pharmacist told police Tomko said "don't make me hurt you." The pharmacist handed over three bottles totaling more than 200 pills.
"He basically stated that the addiction was strong and he was willing to do what it took to get that addiction satisfied," said St. Johns County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Chuck Mulligan.
Later that day, officers were called to the Chili's on State Road 312 in reference to a suspicious person possibly using narcotics in the bathroom.
Restaurant staff reported to police that Tomko had asked his waitress for a deep spoon before camping out in the bathroom for around 40 minutes.
"They felt something wasn't right and of course we unfortunately found him there in the bathroom," Mulligan said.
Police said they found Tomko in the handicap stall of the men's restroom with needle marks and blood running down his arm. He told police he crushed the pills and injected them.
Tomko was arrested for strong armed robbery.
Due to the fact that 178 oxycodone tablets were missing from the bottles, Tomko was rushed to the hospital before heading to the St. Johns County Detention Center.
Tomko told deputies recent personal problems had magnified his admittedly severe drug addiction.
He denies ever threatening the CVS pharmacist.
On Wednesday night, he remained in jail with a $7500 bond.
